Mission & Core Values
Using the great outdoors as our classroom, The Roaming Naturalist empowers youth and adults to reconnect with the natural world through immersive learning experiences that encourage curiosity and self-discovery.
Be Inclusive All children deserve the opportunity to learn and enjoy the natural world. Our nature-based learning model provides safe and educational experiences for children and young adults, regardless of background, culture and abilities.
Be Curious We believe in the importance of an active mind, where curiosity brings children and young adults into a world of wonder and discovery.
Be Respectful As educators, we are dedicated to a learning environment that fosters respect for one another and the world around us.
Be Resilient Stepping outside of our comfort zones can be scary. Our programs empower youth to overcome their fears, take risks and increase self-awareness in a safe environment.
